Summary
While many Aboriginal people today see mining and other development as a way to build a better material future for their children, there are still a significant number of traditionally minded Aborigines who are opposed to development on their traditional lands, they live mostly in remote and undeveloped parts of Australia, and as a result their views are little known and poorly understood by most Australians, this video was made at the request of such a group of people, living in Eastern Arnhem Land, it is a message tape, with traditional owners speaking in their own language, directly to the Government , to mining interests and to all other Australians (Notes taken from publicity brochure)
