Summary
Burning a trail from the outback to the city comes the Warumpi Band, with a mixture of raw rocknroll and traditional Aboriginal Music. Members of the band Djilanynga, Butcher and Murray combine their talents and cultures on a tour that travels through outback culminating at the performance at the Survival Day concert 1993.

  • "From Spirit to Spirit" is a project of thirteen half hour documentaries made as an international co-production in 1993 to commemorate the Year of the World's Indigenous People. It was commissioned by SBS and screened in Canada, New Zealand and Scandinavia. The Australian episodes 'Quest for Country', 'From the Bush' and 'Mungo Lady' were produced by Rachel Perkins for Blackfella Films. The directors of the three Australian episodes were Michael Riley, Marie Bennett and Rachel Perkins
