Transcripts of interviews with Australian women pereceived as challenging existing conventions and roles ; includes an interview with Coral Edwards, an Aboriginal woman who at five months old was removed with her three sisters and one brother from her parents in Tingha, NSW. The eldest sister, Dulcie, escaped, but Coral and her two other sisters were placed in the Aboriginal Girls' home at Cootamundra, where they were trained as domestic servants, while their brother, Gordon, was taken to the Aboriginal Boys' Home near Kempsey
