Corroboree Films Presents "Black Futures", a series of six episodes about hope and survival in Aboriginal Australia. Episode 1 outlines the work done by Bob Merritt in opening the Eora Centre for the Visual and Performing Arts in Redfern, Sydney. Merritt opened this centre in 1984 as part of his work towards a renaissance of Aboriginal culture in urban settings. Aboriginal staff and students as well as Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal supporters speak about the feelings of community and identity generated by the centre
