Summary
Considering the question of whether a document or documents would advance the reconciliation process between Indigenous Australians and the wider community, a forum was arranged to discuss and debate the role a document may play in the process of reconciliation; identify the range of possible forms a document may take and discuss the potential the notion of a document may hold for the whole reconciliation process. Guest speakers are Garth Nettheim, Professor of Law, UNSW; Gerard Henderson, Author and Marcia Langton, Chairperson, AIATSIS. This is followed by questions from the floor with answers from the guest speakers or members of the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation
