- Summary
- The Society of the Catholic Apostolate, better known as the Pallottines, are a Society of Apostolic Life within the Roman Catholic Church. Founded in 1835 by the Roman priest Saint Vincent Pallotti, the Pallottines arrived in Western Australia in 1901 and initially set up in Beagle Bay in the Kimberleys, before expanding to Broome and Lombadina. In 1928 the Tardun farm was founded, although it did not function as a mission until 1948. In 1937 the missionary college in Kew, Victoria was established. Subjects include: Individual and group portraits; children performing; body paint; camps and picnics; tobogganing; sports day; jubilee; wedding anniversary; primary school portraits; painting; swimming carnival; boat; nature trail; zoo; playground; airport; aeroplane
