- Summary
- Clothing designs based on Arunta [Arrente] art ; includes fabric swatches. Part of a collection, “Arunta”, released by David Jones Ltd in 1940, the designs were adapted by Gert Sellheim for women's dress materials and ornaments, men's mercery, and for glassware and beach towels (source, David Jones catalogue). The swatches appear to drawing on a wider range of Aboriginal art practices than just the art of Arrente people as the name might suggest
