Summary
  • [Abstract from cover] Arrkantele means 'for fun" in Kaytetye, an Arandic language of Central Australia. With this video series, Kaytetye children can learn literacy, numeracy and traditional Kaytetye culture in their own language. And they'll have fun while they learn. Arrkantele is the result of a joint project involving Ilewarr (Stirling), Artarre (Tara) and Alekarenge (Ali Curung) communities, neighbouring outstations, the Thangkenharenge Aboriginal Corporation, Warlpiri Media and the Central Australian Dictionary Project at the Institute for Aboriginal Development in Alice Springs
  • Funded by ATSIC
