Summary
Metric and non-metric analyses of Willandra Lakes Hominid (WLH-50) were used to test the complete replacement theory, which predicts that Late Pleistocene Africans and Levantines, not earlier Indonesian (Ngandong) hominids, are the likely ancestors of native Australians; the finding of some differences and significant similarities between WLH-50 and Ngandong refutes the replacement theory; concludes that a multiregional model of human ancestry best explains modern Australasian origins
