Summary
The collection being offered at Mossgreen is part of a $400 million gift from Kluge to Columbia University and earmarked exclusively for student scholarships. Christie's New York has been selling the collection and through Christie's Australian offices this component of the collection comprising art works hanging in various residences owned by Kluge in America and France is being made available. Of particular interest are a number of Papunya boards from 1971 and 1972, including boards by Mick Namarari Tjapaltjarri, Uta Uta Tjangala, Anatjari Tjakamarra No. III, Charlie Tawara Tjungurrayi and Johnny Warangkula Tjupurrula. Another important painting is Bush Tucker Dreaming in the Sandhills by Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri and Tim Leura Tjapaltjarri
