  • Includes oral history interviews with men who worked on stations in the area as jackaroos then station hands, drovers, shearers; describes life in the various locations around the Wetlands areas; includes a list of towns, settlements and locations referred to in the interviews; map of Beemunnel Reserve 1934 (which was previously The Beemunnal, a Travelling Stock Route); describes how people were forcibly moved around and where they were sent; importance of the Macquarie Marshes as a food resource; scarred trees, artefacts and ceremonial grounds; burial grounds; oven mounds; decline of the Wetlands and water diversion in the area; discussion on the potential to engage young people with positive opportunities in land management (both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal)
